Default Old xj to older xj

The motor on my beloved 99 XJ finally gave up after 350,000 miles.
While digesting the 7,000.00 quote at the dealer for a warranteed rebuilt motor I noticed a clean 98 XJ sport that had just been traded in, I swooped in on it and snagged it for 2500.00- Cherry, Tight, never been offroad by the look of the undercarriage.

I have a 3" teraflex lift and quick disconnects + bilsteins on my 99 and want to swap it to the 98, is this a straight swap?

They are both in my garage side by side, everything looks the same on the 98 but dont want to get them both torn apart and find some subtle difference.

do I need to get them both on 4 jackstands each simultaineously to do this? or can I do one end at a time? and what is the best location for the jack stands?

Does anyone know a link for instructions on a lift transfer/ install?
I'm sure I can figure it out, but I always prefer to learn from someone elses pain if possible.

Thanks.

only main thing that could be different is the rear diff.

one end at a time would be best, and everything should bolt right up
as defiance noted only the rear end might be different, I think it has to do with abs,
but I have read a lot saying you shouldn't re use u-bolts, different rear different size, so you should just buy some new ones and you are good to go.

Did the same thing with my 90 and my wifes 99. I'd say do one end at a time and I also found that the leafs are easier to install if you only take out one side at a time. As mentioned before, you will probably need different u-bolts, but you should be replacing those anyway. Local spring shops are the best place to get them. They will custom make them to whatever width and length you need, and they are usually cheaper than anywhere else.
