Default ok got a issue with some linkage...

so death wobble is a sure thing in the xj with the unbalanced tsls, 175,000 mile worn tie rod ends, and linkage..

im going to replace the tie rod ends, insert threaded rod in the tierod (while its off..to beef it up on budget)
and put a drop pitman arm on that came with my last lift.
also going to put a new steering stabilizer on and i think this will help. and the draglink ends too.

I know the tires should be balanced, but they are tsls that are worn they wont hold balance long.

just wanted to see if changing this stuff will help. this is fairly cheap for me to do and if im missing anything please suggest.

If its tire balancing thats causing the issue, have you tried balancing with airsoft BB's? http://www.innovativebalancing.com/BigTirechart.htm. Others have done it with great results as the BB's are constantly re-balancing the tire so you don't have to be concerned about the tires being old and not holding a balance. The rest of the stuff you mention in your post will only help road manners, but if you drive it on the street, your tires should be balanced.

i cant picture threaded rod in a stock tie rod helping out much. you can bend it by hand.

bias tsl's are a notoriously bad street tire. they may not be just out of balance, i have seen physically oval shaped ones and some are laterally weighted differently.

drop pitman will only worsen your bumpsteer and likely contribute to the deathwobble

steering stabilizer will mask up problems in your front end, its not a cure, its a band-aid.

90% of the time the cause of deathwobble lies in the trackbar, ANY play is unacceptable. from worn bushings to wallowed holes to worn joints to worn bolts, even a loose bracket.

i have a adjustable trac bar. brand new, im not going to dismount the tires to put the airsoft beeads in. just wanna beable to drive to the local trails over 30mph...lol i dont mind vibrations from tires just dont want the front end shakin round...so if i install this trac bar and newends it should fix ends.

thats why im adding the threaded rod because it is so weak. adding solid rod that fits diameter and spot welding it makes the "stock rod " stronger it makes it a little more ridgid. ive seen it hold up being hit on rocks in my buddies trucks so i know it will help some till i buy a hd rod.
