Default ok a few questions here. all help appreciated.

question 1. Where can i find a driver and passenger door mirror that works by the cables through the door for my '91 XJ?

question 2. Is there a fuse that i don't know about for the reverse lights cause mine aren't working and they have been swapped for LED. the lights work fine but i have no power to the wiring.

question 3. What size and thread type do the trans mount bolts need to be. Also, are there 1 or 2 bolts that hold the trans to the cross member because i can't seem to find the second hole for another bolt.

question 4. Where can i type in my codes on my firewall to look up my gear ratio and stuff?

like i said guys, all help appreciated. i'm a newbie to the Jeep world. just picked mine up a few days ago.

as for issue 2 if your transmission is an automatic its Probably your Neutral Safety Switch.
http://www.jeepin.com/features/nss/

Follow these instructions they are really good I was able to do this in about an hour.

Mirrors check your JY for the non foldable mirrors. I find that the foldable ones are the ones that break.

Get a dealer spec sheet. I think they have to give it to you if they ask and it should tell you everything about your cherokee.

Sorry I have no idea about the trans bolts.

Edit: Also for your specs you can go to the Comanche/Cherokee stock specs I think that are in the writeup section of this forum.

No problem I have to answer some questions so I feel ok about asking questions. In fact I just recently asked the question about my cruise control which is how I know to tell you about it.

@ 91_XJ_Dude
Hi and welcome to CF.
#1, You can get lots of parts from here http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php at very reasonable prices.
#2, Check the bulbs and socket for power and as previous poster said the NSS.
#3, Check your PM's. I sent you some info.
#4, get the # off the rear end and call Chryco/jeep and they should be able to help you. Most of the time if you have an automatic trans and a Chryco or Dana rear with a 4.0 the gears are 3'55s...Tj

ok so update on the whole trans bolts situation incase anyone would like to know. i found that my holes were gunked up to all hell with crap from lack of bolts and that there are in fact two holes and the bolt size is a Metric bolt measuring 12MM x 1.75 in case anyone else needs to do trans mount bolts. so relieved my trans isn't sliding around anymore while i drve and i feel safe enough to try out my 4WD for the first time since i bought the jeep last friday night. haha.
