Adventures in oil leaks.
I was leaking massive amount of oil and traced it to the valve cover gasket. Replaced and fix most leaks but then I noticed more was leaking.
Oil is burning with exhaust as well.
Now I've traced it to the first piston spark plug port (closest to you while standing at front looking at motor)
It seems to be a decent seep, but not shooting oil everywhere or any kind of major pressure.
Suspects? I've been told piston rings, but I'm not sure.
Any ideas? I'd like to keep that oil where it's supposed to be...
EDIT: Very light knocking.

Until you have pulled and inspected it, no need for any more guessing. If the spark plug is tight and it's crush washer good, there should be NO oil coming out around it, regardless of engine/ring condition.
