Default Oil pressure sending unit sensor

Does anyone know how tight the oil pressure sending unit should be installed?

I try not to use the teflon so long as it doesnt leak without it... But I usually hand tighten with maybe 1/2 turn more.

Little teflon tape and good hand tightening.

Small pieces can tear off as you tighten the sending unit and get into the oiling system, it will harden and ruin the bearings. Atleast that what I've heard. Teflon tape is more of a lubricant than a sealer, according to a hydraulic instructor that I had at one time.

This is why you dont wrap the teflon beyond the threads, it'll tear a bit off and be pushed ahead of the sender. I also dont use more than a triple wrap and run it on so it threads in the same direction it was wrapped.
