Hi everyone,
For about the third time this week, I would pull my Jeep out of the garage and put it in park in my driveway to let it warm up before I drove to school. I always let it get to 150*F before I pull out of my driveway. My XJ runs between 40-60 on the oil pressure gauge normally, but these past three times the oil pressure reading has gone straight up to 80, and has stayed there even while warmed up and idling in place. I think it must be a sensor of some sort getting an incorrect reading. The Jeep idles as before, perfectly I might add, and shifts in and out of gears fine as well.
If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great. I try and take the up most care in driving my baby. It's my first car
Thanks!
George
