Default Oil pressure gauge?

Ok so I changed my oil last week, I've done my own oil changes all my life. Started it up backed it out of the garage, about 20 min later I went to pick up the kid from daycare, and the gauge was all over the place 10,30,40 back to zero and so on. I checked the oil I have plenty in there, I didn't have time to mess with it left it, the next day I started it up it was fine, then the next day it was fine but halfway to work it started to do the all over needle dance. Sometimes when I accelerated the pressure went down and when I let off the gas it went up. I have no idea what it could be, please help

first thing id ck would be the connection at the sending unit....Ya could have bumped it when changing the filter. If thats not it, its probably the sending unit going bad.

Agree. This is almost assuredly related to the oil pressure sending unit.

If you do have to replace it, buy it directly from Jeep. There are plenty of people that have had issues with aftermarket. It is worth the extra $20 for the better unit.
