i have a question about my oil pressure. everytime i start it up the pressure stays at 30 and when its still cool the pressure will go up to 40 when you give it some gas, but as it runs for a bit the pressure will drop down to about 25 and stay there no matter how much gas u give it. i changed the oil filter and everything and it just does the same thing. i was wondering if any1 can help me out and at least come up with some reasons y it drops so low and stays there, or exactly what it is? thanx

 

Hook a mechanical gauge to it and see if it changes at all. Could be the sending unit..Or you could try to use thicker oil (10-40 or maybe even 20-50)

 

It's possible it's just your oil pressure sending unit going bad and it's not relaying the correct info to the gauge. I thought my oil pressure was unusually low and when I changed my sending unit it went up to where it should be.
