Oil Pressure

So my starter died and I replaced it. No biggie right? Well my oil pressure gauge is pegged past 80 on my gauge and not sure why. Common issue? Big problem? Hmmm..... Any ideas? Thanks

I've got the exact same problem on the 88 Chief that I just bought...

May have whacked the oil pressure sending unit while replacing the starter

I did notice before replacing the starter it was like that. Sorry I forgot to mention that. So is Waking that sender still possible? Or maybe something else/
