ok so i noticed my oil pressure is pegged past the 80psi mark. the only time its not there is idle it drops just below the 80 mark. im guessing the sending unit is screwed or im about to have a blown motor. If the pressure was that high wouldn't i have oil leaking everywhere. oil is fresh bust changed to be sure and it wasn't sludge like. any suggestions? o yeah its a 4.0 in a 95 cherokee about 130k

 

ya check out your sending unit, but if you dont care really, pull the oil pressure sensor out and put a gauge in the same hole, start up your jeep and see what the gauge says for pressure. Mine was not running up to 50psi when i hit the redline it would do like 30 and i was freaking out. I did the same thing and the pressure was great almost 70psi at 5grand. But if your pressure is that hi, its prolly your oil pump going
