Is it rattling from the rockers or just flat not getting oil? Mines doin the same thing after a fresh build and 200 miles. I get good oil everywhere but the last 4 pushrods and have a ton of lifter noise. I'm gonna try a high volume pump I guess and ill post the results here for ya.

I didnt take the valve cover off but pulled the plug where you fill it with oil and didnt see any oil in there at all. It makes some lifter noise as well. I guess i could try a high volume pump but mine works just fine. Ill also try cleaning the push rod prts. I hope thats it that would be nice and cheap lol. Thanks for the help

As others have said check oil pressure and push rods and oil level also could be your lifters while your in ther check your valve lash almost every lifter noise problem i have worked on has been due to improper tightining of the rocker arms

How common is it or likley that it could be a spun cam bearing

I believe the lifters have their own pressurized oil gallery, separate from the cam. So unless the lifter gallery, or lifters, or push rods are plugged, oil should be reaching to the valve train. Any spun bearing is not good but a spun cam bearing should not stop oil flow to the lifters if I'm reading the diagram correctly.

Do you see any when you rev the motor? There is not much flow to be seen through the oil fill hole when engine is idling.

What diagram are you looking at. Id like to look or find one myself. That would be great. I changed the oil filter to a brand new one and started the motor and let it idle. Shut it of and now oil got to the new filter. What does this mean to anyone? ??
