Just put a mechanical oil pressure gauge on my 97 and since I unplugged the electrical sending unit for the dummy light the light stays on.This red light drives me crazy at night.Any way short of taking the bulb out to shut it off?I really dont want to start messing with the dash.

Unhook both your battery terminals. Then touch them together for a few seconds. This will reset all dash lights for the first few miles.
