i would never add anything like that to my engine, the engine has alot of small oil passages in it that would clog before any leaking seal. the first step is to find out where the oil is comming from. if you cant easily tell, clean the engine off with degreaser, then drive for a day or 2 and look for where the oil is leaking from, remember it falls down and back. they also sell UV dyes you can add to your oil, then you need a UV flashlight and some yellow tinted glasses and the dye will stand out like a sore thumb. although that probably wont be necessary.

could be your valve cover gasket, or your oil filter adapter. if its the valve cover, get the felpro gasket. if its the oil filter adapter, you will need 3 o rings, you can buy them as a set from a jeep dealer.

This should help you out if it is your oil filter mount that is leaking as mine was.

My guess as well. I wont be one of those guys who gives you an opinion on something I have never tried. I have used them and they do not work. I have tried them all. Lucas, Bars, etc... Finally I just went and changed the valve cover gasket. Now I noticed that I still have the leak and its comming off the oil filter. I have the tools and the gaskets so I will be changing mine next weekend. I tried this weekend and its a real bear to remove. I will be giving it a second shot next saturday. Google "jeep cherokee oil filter adapter leak" and you will find all the info you need. Take note of how hard it is to remove the torx screw. I tried this saturday and broke a wrench.
