Default oil filter adapter issue?.

Does anyone know the signs of a bad oil filter adapter? I have a semi wet oil filter area, but the majority of my concern is the pass. side of my cross member and exhaust it has oil everywhere. It wont leak at idle though just after a 30 min. drive or so, with a couple of stomps of the gas pedal.

clean the engine with brake cleaner, start the engine let it got for 30 min, stomp on the gas a few times since you say thats what causes the leak and then crawl under there to see where its leaking

That's a great idea with the brake cleaner, I'm going to try it tomorrow. Has anyone with the adapter leak had it all over the floor or just the rear cross member? I have no oil on the ground under the starter but the starter and area around it are all wet with oil.

yup thats how mine is, i think one reason its like that is cause the oil stops flowing after the engine is off
