Default Oil Dipstick tube

Hi All,
So I broke the plastic head off of my oil dipstick and the remaining plastic is about an inch or so down the tube. Can I remove the bracket off of the tube and pull the tube out of the block or is there another solution? Oh yeah I have an 01 with the 4.0. Thanks for any help.

Yes your dipstick can be removed. There should be a bracket down the tube that is attached to the engine block with one bolt. Remove the bolt and wiggle out your dipstick.
