I have a 1996 xj country edition. Recently I've been looking around for ways to wire up some old Bosch pilot fog lights I goin in my dads garage. Well I found a wire under my grill behind my front bumber, and a wire that dead ends right next to my rear defogger switch. Any one know if those wires are for the ones up behind my bumper and could I use them? Any help would be appreciated

Coming from where the fog lamp switch is; the wire harness, if I were you I would use the 12V_out line and run new wire from there to the engine compartment, near the fuse block. From there, I would wire in a relay to switch the lights on when the switch is activated. The factory switch isn't the greatest at supporting that kind of power for the lamps. There's a handful of diagrams running around here for wiring in a relay.

See that's the thing the wires just dead end on either end. Not hooked to a switch in the cab and hooked to nothing out under the bumper. So basically I should just run all new wire with a relay? It would be no problem for me just wondering if it was an easier alternative since the wires are there doing nothing
