Went trail riding last night and everything was fine. Next morning started fine until just off idle engine stalled. Started again stalled off idle.Started again gave more throttle and ran but would randomly miss. At speed it does not miss. Check light came on. Goes off with ignition reset but returns when driven. After a real test drive found out it would not shift properly. Wanting to say throttle position sensor but i'm not too familiar with XJ's. Have not looked but can you scan for codes? Ideas?
