Default oem stereo (infinity)

the standard stereo (cassette player) and 6 speakers (2 in front doors, 2 tweeters, and 2 in the back in the boot roof) . the problem is that driver side speaker and tweeter does not work. I read somewhere that they wired differently (speaker from infinity amp and tweeter from stereo). Before taking the door panel off and checking the speakers and wires should I check something else?

P.S. I did check the **** on the stereo, turning all sound to the front and to the rear to the left and right, and only driver side speaker and tweeter do not respond.

The problem isnt your head unit. the wiring seems to loose contact on the front doors, I fixed it by re-wiring my two front speakers.

just noticed that only left side front speaker is working, tweeters on both sides don't play, and when I open left side door, the speaker cuts off, so it must be a problem with wiring in the doors somewhere. Was it difficult to re-wire those? I was trying to get to the wires from inside the car and seems very tight. Do I have to pull all the loom through?

update: took out the right side door panel only to find out that speaker is not connected at all, fixed that and both speaker and tweeter on that side working now. On the left side, speaker works only when the door is closed, but no tweeter. Will take other panel out tomorrow to check connections there.

Its pretty easy, I just bypassed the old wire with some new wire, and taped it to the old one. It'l be alot easier if you take your time.and yea, that same thing would happen to mine when it started going out. i would open the door and i could hear music coming from the speakers.

the two leads going into the door feed both the woofer and tweater. The tweater has a capacitor on it which acts as a crossover. If you fix the wires in the rubber door boot, it should take care of both woofer and tweater, assuming stock speakers that have not been messed with by PO.
