I've was reading that it is behind the bumper but I can't find them I put in the oem switch and the relays and it has all the pins under the relay and the relays work just need to find the wiring to plug in the diving lights . I have a 2001 jeep cherokee XJ limited . thank you for any help that you can give me .

So the '01 did not come with factory foglights? If so I find it weird that there was pins in the fuse box in the engine compartment to plug the relays into. My '00 does not have the pins there. Also it was my experience that the fog light connectors off the front wiring harness are not there if the Jeep did not come with factory fog lights. They might be tucked up under there real good but still would have to be in the general vicinity of where the fog lights are. I put factory fogs in an '00 that did not come with them. Did a write up. Do not think it will help you but here is the link anyway:

I got around to doing the wiring for my fog lights I found that wiring on my 2001 xj has all the OEM wiring for the fog lights but the OEM wiring only goes as far as the plug that is in front of the air filter . all you need to do to use the OEM wiring is add in the OEM light switch and relay then cut out the fog light wire from the plug at the air filter and hook up the lights .

That sounds unusual. Did you have to cut out the holes for the fog lamps yourself, or were they already cut out?

The lights I used fit in front of the cut outs so I did not have to cut them out .

Can you pull your build sheet? I wonder if it shows you had fogs from the factory

You can pull your build sheet by putting your VIN (in ALL CAPS) in this URL:

I found out that the 2001 xj did not have the driving light option , but all the wiring except the wiring that plugs in to the diving light is there . I have the same switch set up that you have the picture of .

I don't quite follow - you don't have fog lights in your Jeep, but you're turning them on?

Have you installed your own without the factory setup, then?

(I realize the original question is quite old, but indeed, if an XJ wasn't ordered with fog lights the harness wasn't installed. The wiring for the fog light switch was standardized but only goes so far as the connector that connects cab to engine bay.)

I installed led driving lights using all the oem switch relay and wiring . all the wiring was there all I did is install the switch and relay . the only wiring my xj did not have is the wiring from the plug at the radiator core support . after adding that wiring to the driving lights they work just like the factory ones do . but when I turn the lights on the radio stations get weak like if something is blocking the radio signal . I was wondering if any body has had this problem .

Its's on FM , I could have the radio on and turn the driving lights and the radio station will get weak and if I turn off the driving lights the radio station will come back .
