No. Not new to Jeeps. Twenty something years later mine are still good. In the middle of a motor swap. Wondering is if there is a benefit of aftermarket. Are you new to Jeeps? Because you just answered my question. Twenty something years later OE works.

Not new either. Just giving you a hard time. Hard to believe the factory motor mounts were still in though.

I'd go with brown dogs personally.

Cracked my header. Ordered the brown dogs and the pipe today. Been running the OE motor mounts for over a year now and have been pretty hard on them. Will let you all know how well the held up.

I got my OEM motor mounts from Rock Auto for under $9 each. I'm not a heavy duty off-roader so they work fine for me, and they were half the price (including shipping) of OEM at the local stores.

I beat on mine pretty hard so I'm interested to see what the OE ones look like after a year. This is what I did to my UCA mounts after a weekend of giving my Jeep hell.

Good choice on the Brown Dogs. I'd advise swapping out your trans mount at the same time so all mounting points are solid.

I've thought about going with brown dogs if I ever needed to swap my mounts, but in both XJ's I've had, the factory mounts lasted the lifetime of the vehicle (so far) so idk, maybe I'm just lucky. The 96 with 300k I had was beat to crap it's entire life and the girl I got it from was in over 15 accidents with it, and the mounts were definitely still factory and perfectly fine.

I'm on the fence about the upgrade comment. There's certainly a time and place for it, but I think it really depends on price a lot of the time. In this case you're talking $100+ for brown dogs...or $10 for oem. I think the choice is easy for me at least.

Will do trans mount later. Got X-MAS to do still. Going to leave me broke.
