Odometer correction?

im trying to correct the odometer on the gauge going into my jeep, im adding miles to it, so the way i see it it isn't fraud, its actually preventing fraud, but that's besides the point. the current milage is 164xxx but it needs to be 181102, can anyone tell me how to change this?

You didn't need to take the odometer apart. All that is required to be legal is a sticker in the door sill stating the old miles and the new installed miles. That is it. You can get the stickers at most DMV's.
