hey everyone i have an 87 2 door inline 6 4.0 my problem is that after a couple minutes of driving the idol stays up around 2000 rpm and will even make it up to 3000 some times and i cant figure out whats wrong with it ive replaced the iac and cleaned the throttle body and lubricated all the throttle linkage and hooked a computer up to it and it didnt say anything was wrong so ive hit a wall if anyone has experienced this befor or if you know anything about it i would love the help thanks.

 

o2 sensors... if you move the throttle the slightest bit, will it want to rev way up? does it sputter or do anything funky besides the idle. cause it could just be a vacuum line issue. the TPS is one to check, too. but i still wanna lean towards the o2 sensors, unfortunately.

 

well ive replaced one of the o2 sensors not exactly sure which one and most of the vacume lines that are visual got rid of the plastic line and bought a spool of vacuume line and replaced what i could see but it did it before i did all that and while its idoling it does spit and sputter on take off or acceleration with low rpms in for example 5th gear it is a 5 speed. but other than it idoling it accelrates normal just the shifts are alot shorter bacause it gets to 3000 alot faster any sugjestions on what i should do now?
