So this morning, at 3 am, I happen to look out at the driveway and notice that my parking/side marker and tail lights are on..
This was weird because the last drive yesterday was during the day..
So I wander out and check the pull ****.. It's in the off position.
When I pull it to turn the headlights on they come on fine, but when I push the plunger back in they stay on for about 5 sec then switch off, but the parking/side lamps stay on. Also right as the lights turn off I can hear a buzz from the dash.
This xj has the delayed headlight feature, and I've heard the buzz before (if you sit in the truck a while after turning it off it would always buzz quick about a minute after shutting it off)
I've read several other headlight threads and none had this exact behavior.. Any ideas?
Edit: this is similar:

Update:
I removed the headlight switch and the lights still behave this way. The odd thing is that it seems to be temperature related.
When the truck is cold, and the air temp is below zero, the lights will come on. If you start the truck and let it idle even for a few minutes, they will go off and not come back on until the truck cools off again. With the switch installed, all the lights work as normal with the truck warm.
When it's cold the switch still behaves the same as I posted originally.

Can anyone tell me where the relay for the delayed headlight feature I in the dash? It's our next to the wiper relay that is Velcroed to the kick panel?
The lights are now stuck on constantly, even with the headlight switch removed completely.
