Im ignorant when it comes to electronic diagnostic tools of today. I'm used to using a vacuum and pressure gages for diagnosis. I purchased an obd2 and can plug it in and read info. I want to use it to assist me in my next purchase. My question is if there is no check engine light displayed will the obd2 be able to see and display any previous codes or faults during the life of the vehicle?
I'm moving into the 21st Century and have decided to add this, or something like this, to my tool collection. I do have a laptop. This is only 30.00 from Amazon. Any thoughts, yea or nay, on the quality of the tool?
Same one I have, referenced in the post just before yours. It has worked fine on several vehicles. The included OBDwiz software runs OK on Windows 7 bit I'm not sure how it likes earlier or later versions of that operating system.

Just what I needed to hear. Ordered it up today. My OS is Windows 7 so I should be good to go. Thanx for reply.
