Code 22 Coolant sensor out of range '93
Hey guys.
original sensor died on me (22) and aux fan stayed on 100% of the time.
I didn't do a ton of research and just ordered a Standard Products replacement from Rock Auto.
It seemed to work fine for about 3 days but now code 22 pops up right about after I hit operating temp and the aux fan does NOT come on at all until I unplug the sensor if that means anything. Without resetting the computer the cel will be off the next time I start the jeep until I hit op. temp again. I have a hell of a time testing these little boogers with my multi-meter as well. What's the trick?
I already have a mopar unit waiting at the dealer for me but Just wanted to see if anyone had experience with aftermarket crap that failed right away in this manner and if it makes sense that it is indeed the rockauto sensor causing the problem?

I think i'm more so having issues getting my leads on the pins down inside the sensor. Because if i jiggle them just right i start to get a reading but i can't hold them there consistently to get a clear reading.
