O2 sensors failing

O2 sensors failing
I have a CEL and it keeps reading P0134 (I think thats the code, checked it last night) O2 sensor bank 1 high voltage. I've had this code since I bought my XJ and it still gets pretty good mileage, but I got tired of it and replaced the sensor and I still get the code after clearing the codes.
I got mad and just gave up on it for a while then I saw the relays in the box in the engine bay, two of them are labeled for O2 sensors. Has anyone had these go bad and throw codes? I can score the relays at a pretty good price, but I don't have a lot of money right now, is it worth a shot?
