What size bolts do i need for the nut strips?

 

If you are going to install a trailer hitch in a XJ Cherokee the weld nut strip has four holes which take a M12-1.75 threaded bolt. The replacement bolts should be Class 8.8 for strength and they are available at Lowes.

If the recipient Cherokee has never had bolts in those holes, they are most likely corroded/rusted somewhat. What you'll want to do is run a tap into each thread in order to "clean up" the threads with a little BP Blaster on the tap as a lube and conditioner.

 

Go to jcr offside and get their nut strips.

Or if you have a welder you can always make your own nutstrips.

 

Just go back to that same jy cherokee and grab its nutstrip.. they gave me it for free when I went back and got it
