97 cherokee does nss have influence on turn signals as i understand it does with backup lights and starter function. just replaced crank angle sensor (crank position ensor ) battery starter alt ( because it froze up while sitting for a year). starter engages sometimes without wiggling it but the more i use it the more frequent it starts. HELP i'm running out of money.

 

No, your NSS has nothing to do with turn signals?

Wiggle what? The starter? If you're having to tap on the starter then its a bad solenoid but I think you said you just replaced it? If you mean the shift lever then it sounds like it's time to remove and clean your NSS. Search around here, I know there's a write-up somewhere.

Is it just not cranking at all? You say it's been sitting for a year, how's the fuel pump?
