Default NSS Switch on 98 aw4

hey
i jus got my 1st jeep this past feb, and been workin the bugs out.
I was wondering if anyone has succesfully removed and cleaned the nss switch on an aw4. ive been researching but would like some real world advice before i try it. Was thinking bout retriving 1 from the junk yard 1st in case i break mine.

Lots of guys have done it successfully, myself included. It sounds as if you did read up a bit and know you need to tear it apart gently.

yes. be careful taking it off the side of the tranny.. i busted mine allllll up taking mine off my sons jeep. pbs the bolts then take it apart slowly. clean it up. then put it back together. .. i make a picture so i put the parts in the right way.

Only other advice I can think of is when you split it apart make sure you don't loose any of the springs, this is from personal experience unfortunately.
