nss removal ?

i was attempting to get a neutral safty switch from my local pull a part the other day and after i removed the little bolts i couldnt get it out of the transmisson can someone tell me how to get it out correctly

Hey sorry I don't know the answer to your question, but can you tell me where the NSS is actually located on the transmission? I need to check mine since my Jeep isn't starting. Anyone know if there is a way to jump the terminals on the wiring harness to get the engine to turn over? I assume something is wrong with my NSS since I have a good battery and the engine won't even turn over.

put in in neutral then try to start it mine wouldnt make the starter click or anything put in neutral starts everytime and from what im told this means the nss is bad

also if u have no reverse lights. and to the OP there is like a snap ring on the big bolt of the nss. you have to gently pry up the tabs and it should come out
