NP231 rebuild kit?
Going to get my SYE and DS soon and going to completely drop the transfer case and rebuild it while it's down since I'm running with 150k miles. What's a good kit to accomplish this and are there any differences that will need to be "compensated" for with the SYE during the rebuild?

I know the 242 has an early and late breakdown on the transfer.. and the kits to do both. The 231 may be different.
That said, when shopping for a kit i found that Crown had the most comprehensive kit, including the needle bearings that are needed. Check with the vendors here and see who offers the most complete kit..
