Default And now for my transmission issues...

I recently purchased my 2001 XJ Limited. After getting my A/C issues fixed(lets hope), my transmission is acting up. Its seems when I have to come to a full stop, it doesn't come back down to 1st gear quick enough. When I hit the gas sometimes it just sits there until its ready to go back into 1st gear.

This morning as I was turning into my parking spot at work, it decided to stop moving altogether and I was sitting there with my foot on the gas(hesitating seem to be getting worse).

I checked the transmission fluid yesterday and its full and pink(not dirty).

So is my transmission going out or something else?

It sounds like a Transmission Throttle Valve Cable adjustment may help.

Good start anyway.

Open this link and click on the images to make them larger.

You may want to print them off and take them to the Jeep when making the adjustment(s).

Pink like pepto-bismol?? You're fluid is supposed to be bright red.

A bad tps can make your transmission do weird things too. A drain and refill (don't get it flushed) of your transmission could help also.

Have to put the year and other details in your posts my friend. Lots of XJs out there. Different transmissions etc.
