Mounted on the firewall on the driers side, just above and to the right of the brake booster, there is a small black plastic box with two wires coming out of it. I'm guessing some sort of sensor. Either way I have no idea what it is and my search-Fu is weak. One wire is clearly a ground and is connected. The other wire is clipped off about 6 inches down near the main wiring harness. Hope it's not important. It was like that when I bought the jeep, but it bugs me.

The more time I spend under the hood the more I'm learning about this jeep and all the little things that might need attention.

 

MAP sensor? Look close and see if one of the 'wires' is a very thin vacuum line... or take a pic.
