Stroking an engine means putting a crank shaft with a longer throw to move the piston further up and down in the cylinder creating more displacement of the engine

^^x2, it is usually for when people want more power, but dont want to try and figure out how to squeeze a V8 in there

Oil filter position
i just swapped out engines but my new to me h.o engine's oil filter was positioned at a vertical angle instead of horizontal. will this effect my oil pressure at all or should i move it down?

it shouldnt, if its still sealing and there is still pressure, then ur fine, i have seen a few people do it that way
