noise question

open the hood start the jeep and see if you can pin point the noise under the hood if it is coming from the valve cover it is rocker knock or valve tap. when it is cool the fan should not be turning as fast as the motor just kinda free spinning. but the best thing to do is just open the hood and have a listen
