no turn signel or hazard lights help!!
hey peoples. need help.i have a 99 cherokee classic and bout 2 weeks ago my signels stop working including my hazard lights. no flash nothing. i check the fuses on the passanger kick panel,all my fuses are good. i have no clue. i think it might be a relay and i looked all over the place. and i see alot of relays dont know witch one it is or even if thats the problem. any ideas? its kinda annoying not being able to signel when i turn.

no i didnt find nothing under the hood but under where the steering colum is i found the flasher relay. took it apart looks new really. doesnt smell burnt or anything. is there a way to test? if this ant the problem what could it be?

When you say relay, do you mean the whole blinker lever assembly

OK look under your hood.. for the big yellow 20 A fuse then REPLACE it.. i don't care if it isn't blown REPLACE it.. then if that doesn't work replace the 4 way flasher and the turn signal flasher.. then try moving your switch in and out.. then try cleaning it or replacing it.. then try replacing your bulbs you do all of this and it doesn't help then you have a short in your wiring somewheres!! hope that helps!!

Had the same damn problem. Its a pita. Unlike yours my flasher under the steering column was BURNT! And I found a connection problem/short with corrosion under the hood at the main connector in the harness for all the lights. The short fried my new flasher that I put in. The connector sits behind the driver side headlamp... and in front of the stock air box. You might check there first. If not, just work your way from the source and test EVERYTHING, including your switch on the column. Might try cleaning and greasing any connections that you take apart to prevent further problems. Mine were really bad from mud and water getting in there.
