when it happened to me it was the cable that goes into a little box close to the battery that everything gets power from...the cable for all of the lighting was burnt out. Mine is an '86 though...

Check fuse number 2 (20amp) in the fuse panel, also check to see if pin 30 has battery power on the combination flasher in the instrument panel fuse block. Did they work before you replaced the combination switch or is this a new problem?

I don't have a diagram to send you. The Combination Flasher is in the relay bank under the dash instrument panel on the left side.....All power for the flashers /turn signals and brake lights feeds through this flasher. I will try to find you a diagram

Do you still have reverse lamps?

If you do not; expose and examine the primary front-to-back vehicle lighting harness. It runs from behind the kick panel at your left foot, under the doorsill trim, to a spot behind the left-side cargo area trim liner.

If you do, I'd have to look at wiring diagrams. Brake lamps, taillamps, turn indicators, and hazzards are all fed by different circuits to the lamps (and we'd probably have to look for a common power feed.)

i have reverse lamps. the turn signals, hazards and brake lights all have 2 or 3 common feeds running to them. im taking a silver switch/relay to be tested tomorrow. its located up under the dash its getting hot even though my lights are not on. this mystery silver thing is the only component that i have not replaced that could knock all 3 light systems out. ill try and post a copy of the diagrams i have have tomorrow.

Follow your wires as far as you can see if one has worn down and is grounding out somewhere.
