I've found plenty of searches with my relative problem. I have no tail lights, no dash lights and the strange part, no buzzer. It is a 96' so it has that annoying old fashion buzzer to alert you that the key is in and the door is open, or that the door is open with the lights on. The buzzer is functional because it will alert me that my seat belt isnt on. I was wiggling the pull **** on the dash last night and the dash/ tail lights and buzzer would work but only in micro second blips with vigorous wiggling. So its the switch right? nope just put a new one in and nothing has changed. What do I do now, I NEED it to work by tonight.

 

Sounds like a fuse to me. There is a fuse block under the hood, as well as inside the vehicle. IIRC, those items are on the same fuse. HTH!!

 

It was 3 things... There was a bad ground in the wiring and inside the switch which blew the fuse. It is all taken care of now
