hey guys when i drive my jeep down the road to go to the gas station and shut it off it wont crank i put in neutral still no crank i have a wire ran from the starter relay and put it on the negative battery cable end it starts what could be the problem???

 

Not sure if its the same but I had a similar problem that was fixed when I cleaned the nss

 

so when it doesnt want to start, there is litterally NO crank? nothing? does the starter tick like its still getting a signal? have you tested the battery and the alt. to see if they are still good?

 

how would i clean the nss, and it gets nothing like the battery is dead but when i put that wire on the negative terminal it starts right up. thanks for the help
