Good Morning. My XJ has been slow to start and this morning it would not. When I went to turn it off I think it flashed a visual code; it sounded like the hazzard lights activated and flashed the dash lights 3 times. It did this on 2 consecutive attempts to start. Any ideas?

 

May be a ground issue. check your main grounds, there is one on the left side of the battery attached to the fender. Another one going from the battery to the passenger side of the engine block and one from the fire wall to the last head cylinder bolt at the back of the block. My starting issue was the positive power cables from the batter to the relay box were corroded. I replaced them and it fixed my starting issue.
