hey guys i need some help with this, hope someone can help

I think my reverse lights stopped working last week after I ran my XJ out off gass and had to leave my hazard lights on for a while (the hazads would stop flashing after a few mins. and I would have to shut them off and turn them back on). A few days later I find that I don't have revers lighrs. I changed the bulbs and checked the fuses but no luck. That was about 5 days ago. This afternoon my turn signals started acting up. They would stop flashing after being on for more than 1 min.

The only electrical problems i've had with my XJ in 9yrs of ownership has been my front speakers going out.

Any ideas or suggestions before I take it to the shop so they can seriously it up for me?? lol

Reverse lights not working may be NSS (neutral safety switch) any problems starting the jeep, i.e. needing to move the shifter to start?

The NSS has not worked properly in years and my battery seems to be ok but I will have it checked. It is a few years old.
