Default No power to fuse box after radio install.

Hi! So, I bought a 1994 cherokee sport. I installed a radio and all of a sudden the radio power, dash lights and dom lights no longer work. I checked all the fuses and they are good. Anything Im missing?

Thanks!

Russ

no power to the entire box? that sounds like a fusible link.

Yeah the entire box has no power. By fusible link do you mean a burnt wire?

fusable links are kind of like a fuse, just a wire type overload protection

Cool

Do you have power at the lead wire to the power distribution box

storm101 is correct, normally at the starter. looks kinda like someone spliced the wire, but its accutally a fuse. i would start there.

ok, don't they still get power at the starter, or maybe using a relay. either way there should be a secondary power feed from the battery or starter right?

I appreciate all yalls help. Truthfully, I obviously dont know what Im doing. All I know is that before I put the radio in the dom and dash lights worked and now they dont.....but all other headlights, signals, hazards, and tailights work fine.

Cool to know stuff like that!

And just for common knowledge, fusible links are just wire and its 4 wire sizes smaller than the wire it protects, say the line is 12 gauge the link would be 16 gauge....when it overloads it essentially burns the copper up protecting the load component........figured id throw that out there for anyone interested

How did you install the radio aftermarket harness or clip and strip?

fuse F10 40amp and fuse F11 60 amp are in the main box, if you have power to the lead on that box check to see if one of these out....inside box is powered up by the ignition switch after going through box 1
