Talking No low end power/mis-fire

Hello boys and girls! I just got a 99 4.0L Cherokee for free and like all good Cherokee owners you must join a forum! Uncle gave it too me after he bought a brand new Wrangler... Anyways, he had a problem that was occurring when he was in owner ship, did a lot of work. New injectors plugs wires blah blah. still had a mis-fire on cylinder 3-4. so he said screw it and just ran it.

The vehicle is fine in the higher rpms but when your in 4x4 hi and are in the mud or no it can barely break my 32's loose. There is hardly any power at low engine speeds but plenty of power when you get up it up and going. Theres a misfire that i tried to correct by replacing everything to do with ignition (wires plugs coil cap and rotor, IAC, might do tps). Next step to do would be to check compression? Im kinda at a loss and was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction. The jeep also spits and sputters when there is low fuel in the tank when i make hard turns i don't know if that has any indication on something but thought i might just throw it out there. Thanks everyone for reading and to anybody that helps

Checking compression and fuel pressure might be a good starting point.

That ^^^ also leak down test. Might have blown head gasket between 3/4.
What codes is it throwing?
Might check injectors, or do the upgrade.

Sounds like a blown head gasket
