NO GO
Hi, my '96 Cherokee 4.0L will not stay charged up. The battery has been checked and is in good shape; I had the Advanced Auto people run a check on my alternator and he found "no load" on his print out with no voltage results. I can recharge the battery and things will be fine for a week two. I just noticed this last episode that my speedometer went down zero; the dash lights dimmed; the headlights also dimmed. But when the battery was recharged by my charger all things came right again.
I do not know what 'no load" means. Any body with any ideas?
Thanks, Randio

Yeah, I thought too, but the guy that ran the check on it, could not verify that. The voltage reading was zero showing "no load" on the print out and his machine could go no further. I checked the fuses in the relay box and the 60 amp fuse is intact. The testing guy suggested I go to a mechanic to check it, before spending money on another alternator.
Thanks for your input, I love the "Forum." Randio
