no dash lights in the 92

just got my other jeep and it has no dash lights. the guy had the dash apart and couldnt figure it out. so they rigged up a small blue l.e.d light, it looks cool but id like to have them working! anyone have some suggestions? i was thinking maybe the switch was junk.

I had to replace my headlight switch on my 93 because it was the cause of my dash lights not working. I kept blowing the fuse for the the dash lights and the problem was fixed after I put a new switch in

X2 on the switch. In my '90 i sometimes have to wiggle my headlight switch to get the dash lights to come on.

Check the fuse first, if that's not it then probably gonna be the switch.

When I bought my 99 xj, the dash lights didn't work. Checked the fuse and it was blown. So I replaced it and it blew again. Checked the rest of the fuses and found a couple others were blown and some were the wrong amperage. Got the right fuses in and haven't had a problem since.
