Default No center wheel caps?

Is it ok to run with no wheel caps on the front or will they attract too much water and crap? I only ask because the nut and cotter pin are exposed where as most vehicles are covered with a (cover).

I lost my center caps first trip into the mud, and have not had them since, i do alot of heavy mud riding, as well as some sand, just keep it clean, also as a side note the original jeeps had cotter pin and castle nut exposed always, and are still alive today

Personally, I dont like the center caps. I think it looks better without them. Ive been running my jeep without them for about a year now with no problems. The only thing it might do is maybe make it kinda hard to get the cotter pins out if you ever have to take the axle nut off.

As long as the bearing seals are good, you're OK.
