You know that blue box down by the fuses that buzzes a few seconds before you put your seat belt on? I ALWAYS wear a seatbelt, like all the time! I was going to pull it out and leave it out, simply because it is slightly annoying, but instead of there being only 2 blades on it, there are like 6.

Besides being a seatbelt reminder, does it have another purpose that would make me want to keep it plugged in?

Does nobody really know what that is for? Google doesn't help in the slightest!

I believe the buzzer is for three things. Headlights on, key in ignition(door open) and 5 seconds for seatbelt. You get the same sound for all three.

I get different noises for my headlights, but maybe I'll pull it and see what happens for a couple of days.

It's only there to make noise for things. I removed mine years ago and the only thing that's happened is I've been less annoyed

I used to remove mine also but as I got older it reminds me when I get in a hurry and forget to put my seatbelt on anymore.

I used to remove it because I didn't wear a seatbelt on the street, you know the story young and dumb finally grew out of it thank God.

I'm like Knightmare, wearing my seatbelt is habitual, I don't even think about putting it on anymore. Probably a product of growing up in California where we like to force folks to be safe (by law). I pulled mine because I couldn't have the door open with the key in the ignition without the metronomic chime driving me insane. Sometimes I listen to the radio while I'm working on stuff or while camping and I don't want or need the noise.
