No AC or e fan new relay ugh...
Hey cherokee forum. New guy here, but not to forums or jeeps. I need some advice on AC and an E fan issue. Neither of them are working at the moment. They were 2-3 days ago, but now nothing. I checked the relay for the e fan threw pin 87 and 30 and the fan works. I replaced the relay and still no fan. Then I noticed that the clutch, on my AC compressor, wasn't engaged. I swapped the new relay over to the AC slot, again, nothing. I don't have a volt meter some I'm kinda SOL with that. Does this seem like a coolant temp sensor ( correct me if it isn't the right part) the one located in the thermostat housing? BTW this is on a 1995 Cherokee sport auto. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Isn't the stock turn on temp for the e-fan ~ 218*, certainly way over 190*.
If I understand correctly, the AC was cooling normally and just quit working without other symptoms? No point in worrying about the fan until you fix the AC.

When the AC is on, The e fan will turn on even in the winter.
There are 2 sensors that can prevent the whole thing from happening.
low pressure and high pressure
The high pressure is by the compressor. the low pressure is by the firewall.
You can disconnect both of them and short both wires or each sensor connector together.
before you do that, check if the AC clutch turns on when you have AC on. If it does, don't bother with the sensors. They work.

I jumped the low pressure switch. The clutch on the compressor didn't engane. I used the thread RTorrez referenced and that seems to be for a new than 95 xj. My evap can was lower in the bay and my switch wad on the side not top. Weird thing is I was considering running a toggle on the e fan and when I just tested the fan straight wired to the battery it didn't come on. But if you recall the fan does work as tested at the relay. I'm gonna check refidge level and go from there. I was just trying to come with the cheapest solutions before I spent anything on r134.
The female connector for my relay on number 86 has fallen. Is this the cause of my problem?

Also ac read out was the same whether it was plugged into the or not.
