Newer XJ Evaporator Issues?

Newer XJ Evaporator Issues?
I am original owner of an '01 XJ and so far it has had 2 evaporators fail. The first was probably at 25-30k miles, second at about 60k miles. Initially got it replaced at dealer (out of warranty), most recently at a local shop.
More or less they seem to fail on me every 5 years.
Is this a known issue? Anything I can do to help prevent the failure?
