newbie with a pwr mirror issue

Question newbie with a pwr mirror issue

Hello all I'm working on a 98 xj. My pwr mirrors don't operate. there is continuity to ground but no pwr. i've been unable to find the corresponding fuse or relay any insight would be appreciated.

Check the fuse box on the passenger side cabin kick panel, count 14 down from the left side of the fuse panel.

P/S Don't skip the large power fuses, include those while you count.

Thank you for your reply. All fuses ck ok, there are some relays to the left of the double row. There is one missing on top of that row the space seems burnt. any thoughts?

Cool

remove the driver side lower kick panel and disconnect the door sock. You more than likely have a broken wire inside the door sock..You can fish the broken wire into the vehicle at the kick panel repair it by adding a wire 4 to 6 inches longer and pass it through the door sock and connect to the other end of the orignal broken wire.

There is continuity to the switch. I'll chase that wire tomorrow.
